A production of Act III of Parsifal from the Metropolitan Opera House featuring Jonas Kaufmann as Parsifal and Rene Pape as Gurnemanz. This much acclaimed production is conducted by Daniele Gatti and produced by Francois Girard. The screening will be introduced by Dr Peter Bassett and will take place in a private cinema in the Elizabeth Street Theatre, 175 Elizabeth Street, Brisbane City. It will then be followed by a Reception in the beautiful adjoining rooms. This has been made possible by the very generous donation of one of our members who wishes to remain anonymous. Entry is by voluntary donation which will be made to the Wagner Society in Qld. for future events surrounding the Ring Cycle in December, and all members and friends are warmly invited to attend this unique event. Parking: Wintergarden opposite the Theatre. $5 at weekends.
